The “I-Love-Myself” association was created by my 8 yr old grand daughter, Desiree, and I. It was initiated by me when she told me one day that she did not possess the skills to do a particular task. Although amazed by the thought, she felt that she could never accomplish it. This is only a mild scenario of an insecurity embedded in a child. I see it daily, be it from a kid in my neighborhood to a 30 something year old adult. In some cases, an adult that has never worked an honest days living...simply because he or she thought as a child to adulthood that he/she never could think outside of the box. Do not let this be our future! Many blame it on family, but as Hillary Clinton once said, "It takes a village to raise a child”.
